I´ve always loved to draw and paint and feel fortunate to be able to paint every day. "Thaimalee" means Thai flower in my language. Since many of my inspirations come from the trees and flowers that grow around my house I was lucky to find the thaimalee.com domain still available when I decided to create this website. My work is an expression of my past, my future, and my dreams in both watercolors and acrylics.
I like to stay busy and I´m always cooking, gardening, or painting. My paintings reflect the bright and colorful life in the streets and markets here in the Land of Smiles. Some of my best ideas also came from traveling in Africa and South America and I wish I had taken more pictures to remember. My work should probably be described as a mixture of abstract and semi-abstract styles with elements of expressionism. Much of my recent work is more abstract but I also enjoy cartoon like styles and experimenting with colors.
My husband sells gemstones online and in his Bangkok office and my daughters are studying in Canada and Australia. I´m free to paint and my passion has filled every corner and covered every wall of my house and office. There´s no more space around here and that´s why I need this website.
